Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park
On Monday we took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Hiroshima. (I still think these trains look really cool!)
We spent the afternoon at Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, A-Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum, a sobering experience which cannot be expressed in words.
Initially we had planned to spend just one night in Hiroshima, part of which we expected to spend on Miyajima Island, but we ended up staying an extra night. . .
